Ways to Reuse Your Old Tees

We can never get enough of our tees, can we? Our hearts break when our Mom empties out our worn out tees while spring cleaning our closets. However tattered and ragged our tees become, we cannot bear the thought of tossing them out!
However, not all of us have the domestic skills to knit or sew to revamp your clothes. So, especially for the unskilled and lazy lot of us, Jabong.com brings to you some quirky ways where you can reuse your old tees and bring them back from the dead…errr trashcan back into your home!
1.      Dust clothes:-The easiest way to reuse your old tees is to cut them into large pieces in order to use them to dust the small corners of your television set, wipe your mirror, and wash your scooty or car. Dust clothes would always come handy and you can never have enough of them.
2.      Headbands and Belts:-Stylish headbands are just a step away without too much of efforts. Run your scissors through your t-shirt and get innovative by tying up the pieces into thick knots and sticking it on with glue. A longer piece of T-shirt can also be improvised into a belt which would simply require a buckle on.

3.      Necklaces, Bracelets and Scarves:-The pattern of the T-shirt would depend on how the necklace would turn out to be: funky, splashy, plain, pleasant to the eye.  The same can be used for a bracelet in case the length and width of the T-shirt isn’t too much. Beads and glitter can be added to the piece to make it even more attractive. Silk, satin, velvet or even cotton tops can be used to make a scarf.

4.      Skirt:-The shorter the skirt, the costlier it is, isn’t it? If your top isn’t too worn out, you can always make a skirt out of it. You will need nothing but your unbriddled imagination!

5.    Grocery Bag:-If there was a competition between how often you wear your favourite tee and how often your parents use the same grocery bag for dragging veggies and fruits home, the latter would score an outright win. Surprise your parents by making a grocery bag at no added cost or expense! Here is how you can do it!

6.      Breathing a New Life into your Tee!:-Your old T-shirt can also be transformed into a whole new T-shirt. An old T-shirt which is too large for you can be stitched to make a spaghetti top. A full sleeved top can be switched into a tube top or a one shoulder strap piece. Trick your friends into thinking you have made a brand new purchase and they would be astounded when you reveal it is actually your creativity behind it!
Remember, experimenting and exploring your ingenuity is the best way to move forward. You can also donate old T-shirts to the needy who cannot afford hoarding clothes. So stop accumulating your umpteen drawers with the tops you don’t require! While you are clearing your closet, make sure you splurge on Jabong Shopping to fill in the bare space!
